1)Compatible - Just make sure your old remote is 310 Megahertz and has 8 dip switches.
2)Easy to program - Just make sure the dip switches correspond to your old remote settings.
3)Effective - One touch of the button sends an extended signal that makes sure the garage door opens/closes fully.With my old remote, the signal is short, thus causing the garage door to open/close partially.
4)Compact - lightweight and same size as my car alarm remote.
5)Utility - Has a yellow LED light to function as a small flashlight if you need it.But I don't rely on it.
