(More customer reviews)I installed these safety cables after hearing a loud noise in the garage and finding one of my extension springs had broken just below the spring's double loop.Luckily it must have flown straight down so no damage to the cars and nobody was in the garage to get hurt.I opened the garage door and was able to easily install the safety cables in about an hour without removing the springs.I did have to purchase two bolts and nuts to secure one side of each cable, but the other side of the cable was secured with the included quick links.These safety cables are 1/8" thick versus the thinner 3/32" cables sold at local stores.I bought two sets of the safety cables and installed it on my second garage door also.Now I do not have to worry about getting hurt if another spring breaks.
